1. The Challenge: Making Electronics Accessible

Learning electronics has traditionally been filled with barriers.

  • Physical Cost & Risk: New hobbyists/professionals must purchase expensive components, tools, and kits. A simple mistake while soldering can permanently damage a board or component. Expensive components that can be easily damaged can be hard to replace such as military grade electronics.

  • Abstract Concepts: Understanding how electricity actually flows is difficult. Diagrams and theory can only go so far, leaving a wide gap between concept and practical application.

  • Fragmented Learning: Students must constantly switch contexts—from a textbook to a video tutorial to a physical workbench—making the learning process disjointed and slow.

The challenge was to create a single, unified tool that removes these barriers, making electronics education safe, intuitive, and engaging.

2. The Solution: A Virtual Workbench in Your Living Room

Circuit Flux is a fully immersive spatial computing application that transforms a user's physical space into a dynamic, all-in-one electronics workbench. It leverages the unique capabilities of Apple Vision Pro to merge learning, design, and simulation into one seamless experience.

Key features were developed to address the core challenges:

Master the Solder: A Risk-Free Training Ground

We eliminated the fear of failure. Users can learn the precise art of soldering on pre-built, realistic 3D circuit boards.

  • Multi-Modal Input: Users can use their fingers, dedicated controllers, or the highly precise spatial pen to practice.

  • Spatial Guidance: Step-by-step instructions are overlaid directly onto the 3D model, showing exactly where and how to place and heat components. This builds muscle memory and confidence for real-world projects.

Drag & Drop Design: Your Infinite Component Kit

We made experimentation free and limitless. Users can intuitively use their hand gestures to prototype ideas without constraints.

  • Intuitive Interaction: Grab, move, and connect virtual components—resistors, capacitors, LEDs, and integrated circuits—directly onto a digital breadboard.

  • No Cost, No Mess: Experiment with complex designs without ordering parts or managing a cluttered workspace.

AI-Powered Learning: A Built-in Expert

We centralized the learning process, ending the hunt for information.

  • Circuit AI: A built-in AI tutor is available on demand. Users can simply look at a component and ask, "What does this do?"

  • Contextual Knowledge: The AI provides instant explanations, technical data, historical background, and practical uses for any part of the design, embedding a full electronics course directly into the tool.

  • Simulate and See: Visualizing the Invisible

  •

  • We bridged the gap between theory and reality by making abstract concepts visible.

  • Real-Time Simulation: With the press of a button, the circuit springs to life.

  • Visual Feedback: Users can observe the flow of electricity, animated as a visual phenomenon, right in their spatial environment. They can see LEDs light up, signals oscillate, and troubleshoot their designs in real-time.
